It was on this day, 223 years ago (in 1783) that Jean-François Pilâtre de Rozier & François Laurent d'Arlandes
made the first manned ascension by balloon in Paris. What better way to celebrate?
Dan and Katie joined us this morning. The balloon flight was a surprise to Katie, as Dan had told her "we're
getting up early to look for a Christmas tree."

It was about here that Dan asked Katie an important question...
...she said "yes" (as he hoped she would).
After a short drag northeast of Arlington,
we return safely to Earth and begin packing up.
After the pack-up, it's time for mimosas.
