This evening is a training flight for student Michael, his fourth flight.

Launching from the Sarpy County fairgrounds, on our way to 6,200 feet.

We picked a landing in a harvested wheat field, and the crew captured the scene as the envelope deflates.

We could see new terraces being cut into the field, so we knew there was no chance of crop damage.

In just a few moments, the envelope lays flat against the wheat stubble.

Michael works on disconnecting the basket from the suspension cables.

Michael's brother Jeff and I work on knot tying skills after returning the
88,000 cubic foot envelope back in the bag.
