Jean and Jayne crossed "balloon flight" off their bucket lists with this evening's flight from Springfield.
Lively winds had our full attention as we readied for lift off.
But once aloft, we settled in to a beautiful flight in the late autumn skies.
Heading toward the Platte River just east of Louisville, we're skimming along above the treetops.
The crew caught sight of us as we passed south of Louisville and began looking for a landing site.
This harvested soybean field north of Manley was tonight's destination. Jayne and Jean stand in our landing track listening to
the "champagne story."
