Tonight was a tether for Girl ScoutTroop 5532 in Bellevue.

Shari and Rick held the mouth,

while Michael worked the crown line.  Tethers require quite a bit of preparation, and extra rigging.

Pulling out the fabric a bit to speed the inflation.

Crew and crowd wait for the show to begin.

Add a little heat . . .

. . . and up it comes!

With the balloon upright, the crew moves the basket into position.

With everything ready and the tether ropes adjusted, we're ready for passengers.

We thank Bellevue Elementary School for allowing us the use of their grounds this evening.

And up we go!

We flew the Girl Scouts and their families tonight, almost all for their first time in a balloon.

Dawn and her family were so excited to finally get their ride, after months of planning.
