First Flight of Dreamtime - April 11, 2004

Dreamtime is our second balloon, following Dawn Odyssey by almost 7 years. Her arrival was eagerly awaited, as
you might imagine. On this Sunday morning, we inflated our new aerostat for the first time.
We call this picture "flying the trailer."
And up I go. The first part of the flight was an inspection; after 45 minutes, I
touched down, and Stephanie joined me in our basket. Another half-hour, and she
exchanged places with our sons.
We celebrate having flown the whole family in our new aircraft. Joining us this
morning are friends Matthew and Steve (each to soon have their own balloons)
and Steve's wife Elane. And yes, where we landed was less rugged than this!
