For Mother's Day this year, we gave Stephanie's mom her second-ever balloon ride.
Some of the kids at our Lake Zorinsky launch site chased the balloon for a little while.

When we're out over the countryside, we can practice "contour flying," following
the contours of the land.  It's good practice for landing, and you occasionally spot
wildlife at close range.

We'll land in the field on the left of the road.

Coming in for a landing, we set the balloon down in the waterway, which was
only about 8' wide.  Better there than in the corn stubble.

That's the face of a happy passenger!
